Why I stopped 22 Minute Hard Corps
Hey it’s David and Kate and I wanna share with you why I had to stop 22 Minute Hard Corps.
First of all let me say 22 Minute Hard Corps is a great program and I’ve seen a lot of people get results from it. However, what’s important is you always have to listen to your body. Now, I’ve been doing this program off and on since like, March. About 4 – 5 weeks ago, I’ve decided; You know I’m really gonna go all in on this program, you know, follow the nutrition plan, do all the work outs a hundred percent and show people what kind of results you can get.
Only problem is my body decided; No. In fact, I went for three weeks without any results, not loosing any weight. Stuck at 207 pounds. My heaviest ever. Normally in the past I would just drop weight like crazy. This time ahh ahh. The 22 Minute Hard Corps results that I’m getting isn’t what I wanted it to be. I’m not getting results from 22 minute hard corps.
I started looking at a lot of different things that are going on with me. I looked at what I was eating, I removed dairy, gluten… I got really strict in my eating. I even got a Fitbit and really increased my steps. I was just really looking at everything I could do and after three weeks of no results, I even doubled my work outs. Still. didn’t loose any weight. My 22 Minute Hard Corps results wasn’t making any progress. I was not getting results from 22 minute hard corps.
Finally, what I realized what had happened is:
1. My body adapted to the workout they just weren’t that challenging anymore. and
2. I was eating too few of calories. You know in this program, since it’s only 22 minutes a day, I was only suppose to eat 2100 calories and what that did to my metabolism is it slowed it down too much and so, what I had to do to fix my situation as I had to increase my calories quite a bit to 2400 and now 2600 and I’ve had to increase my workouts so, I had to move to Body Beast and actually increase you know, my activity. So, you know, the best way to boost your metabolism is to increase your activity and increase your nutrition and that’s what I had to do. So, I simply wasn’t following 22 Minute Hard Corps anymore. Are calories too low?
You know the thing is, in this past week, since I’ve been making those changes, increasing my calories I dropped 2 and a half pounds. So I’m on the right track now. I’ll probably do some 22 Minute Hard Corps programs like some cardio workouts, couple of time a week. But I had to switch it up and move to Body Beast and get that resistance training in as well as boost my metabolism.
So, bottom line is: it’s a great program, all the Beachbody programs work but you’ve always gotta listen to your body and do what’s right for your situation. There’s no shame in that. Alright. Hope this was helpful. Take care!
